‘picturetheuk’ www.picturetheuk.com is a UK tourism search engine that lets you see or picture the UK before you book your trip and go. It’s a search engine that specialises in one area, what the internet industry calls a vertical search engine.
‘picturetheuk’ was co-founded by James Penman and Terry Moore who started developing the site in March 2008. The site is part of Zencudo Ltd which also owns the UK shopping search engine ‘Zencudo’ www.zencudo.co.uk. Between us, there’s about 16 years worth of experience building vertical search engines and internet advertising systems.
We’ve been travelling around the UK for years, have yet to find a site that helps us visually explore the UK and so we’ve built it ourselves. Enjoy!
